We would like to start our work by explaining where diplomacy came from, in fact, this is a historical factor, in ancient Greece people received instructions and certificates that further confirmed their powers, in particular they were handed over to city officials who were in charge of international affairs, hence the word "Diplomacy" was born. Diving into this topic, we would like first of all to explain the meaning of this term. Diplomacy is the preservation of peace in the country and the prevention of international conflicts, in simple words.

In the diplomatic environment, it is most important to be able to build a dialogue, that is, the skill of negotiation, modern diplomacy is improving more and more every time, the needs and development of local experience are becoming more and more widespread, many modern diplomats insisted that no one else took a position of detachment from the international society of the state, namely, what we meant, new diplomats, like the old ones, make quite a lot of changes to the state structure, but soon even this ability will be limited, mostly people with these positions are divided into two types, as optimists and pessimists say, someone expects the fall of the country, and someone, on the contrary, sees only stability. In the modern world, the former status is gradually being lost, the boundaries between domestic and foreign policy are gradually disappearing, internal problems have been solved by an international approach, which, by the way, would harm the state in the future. Everything that the new public diplomacy is doing now allows people to change the dynamics and results of politics, which plays a very important role, to put it briefly, modern diplomacy is both technological and political changes in opportunities, if this continues, the prosperity of our country will eventually dry up, for only one reason, the structural function of the state that is familiar to us it is beginning to gradually collapse, the truth and people's capabilities are changing, traditional diplomacy keeps the country and in our foreign policy we proceed from the fact that countries with different values, mentality and culture, aspirations are not doomed to confrontation at all.

For me, a modern diplomat looks like this: he is a professional engaged in the foreign policy activities of the state, fluent in several foreign languages, and has deep knowledge in various fields. Diplomats play an important role in the implementation and formation of the country's foreign policy, as they represent their country abroad, establish ties, and maintain diplomatic relations with other countries. The conduct of a country's foreign policy by a diplomat is carried out in accordance with its national interests and goals, while observing the principles of international law and diplomatic ethics. He should be ready for dialogue and cooperation with other States, but at the same time defend the interests of his country. To achieve national goals, a diplomat must be committed to advancing the interests of his country, have the skill to analyze complex economic and political situations, anticipate or evaluate the possible consequences of various decisions. And also develop tactics and strategies to achieve national goals.  During negotiations and meetings, the diplomat's task is to reach agreements and compromises beneficial for his country. Also, a diplomat should strive for the peaceful settlement of conflicts and promote cooperation and dialogue between countries. It is necessary to use such skills of international law as mediation, negotiations, arbitration, to achieve a peaceful settlement of disputes. In consequence of emergency situations, such as disasters, epidemics or conflicts, a diplomat should help his citizens, provide them with protection of rights and consular support.

Also, one of the most important skills is the art of communication. And knowledge of foreign languages is very important here, as it allows a diplomat to communicate with representatives of other countries more effectively, allows him to understand and be understood. It is also worth considering that communication and communication in the native language create an atmosphere of trust and understanding, so it is easier to establish contacts and avoid misunderstandings and conflicts. Knowledge of foreign languages is also important for a diplomat for the reason that it helps to better understand the culture and traditions of other countries, establish deeper relations with representatives of other cultures, reach compromises, as well as avoid cultural punctures and take into account the peculiarities of each country when resolving conflicts and negotiating. In addition, knowledge of foreign languages facilitates access to information, and helps to obtain reliable first-hand information, or to gain access to sources of information that are not available in their native language. Therefore, knowledge of foreign languages is an integral and mandatory part of the work of a diplomat, it helps him to fulfill his duties, analyze and achieve goals.

A diplomat should also have deep knowledge in a variety of fields, have a wide range of knowledge for the successful performance of his work. First of all, it is necessary to have knowledge in the field of international relations, since a good understanding of international law, geopolitical trends and political processes is necessary for a diplomat. Analytical skills are also an important skill, you need to be able to predict the possible consequences of something, analyze various situations, and based on this develop strategies for action. It is equally important to know and adhere to high ethical standards, be unbiased and work adhering to the principles of international law. Nowadays, it is necessary to be tolerant and flexible, and since a diplomat works in different conditions and with different people, you need to be able to respect different points of view and adapt to new situations. For effective interaction with representatives of different countries, it is necessary to have an understanding of various religious and cultural traditions, to be culturally literate. In order to express their thoughts effectively and clearly, both orally and in writing, a diplomat must be a good communicator and have communication skills. It is also necessary to know the rules and traditions of diplomatic protocol in order to be able to represent your country at international events. All of the above skills and knowledge help a diplomat to be informed and competent, and make decisions reasonably. But you need to be ready for constant updating of knowledge and training in order to keep abreast of the latest events, news and trends on the world stage.

For me, a modern diplomat is a very inquisitive, highly educated, eloquent and erudite person, with a high level of self-control, endurance, charm, the ability to win people over and express their thoughts. A person who values his service for the good of the country and values it. This is a very unique and prestigious profession, it attracts with its mystery and wide opportunities. But despite this, there is a need for daily hard work on oneself, striving for self-improvement. You need to understand all areas of activity, be erudite and competent. Being a diplomat is prestigious, but not easy. It is important not just to get recognition of your competence, but also to keep your place for many years. A modern diplomat plays an important role in the development of international relations. He must have a lot of knowledge and skills, and be a professional in his field in order to work in the international arena and represent his country.
